Crowne Plaza Milan - Malpensa Airport by IHG

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. I really liked it! It’s very close to the airport. The shuttle service to and from the airport was excellent — we called the WhatsApp number, and within 15 minutes we were picked up and taken to the hotel. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was simply amazing! The hotel offers a wide and varied selection of fresh, delicious dishes in the morning. We spontaneously decided to have dinner at the hotel, and it was also very tasty — the soup was especially good. There is free parking right next to the hotel. On one of the days we were without a car and took the train to Milan — it was very convenient: first the free shuttle from the hotel to the airport, and then a direct train to the center of Milan. You can also walk from the hotel to the aviation museum Volandia. After visiting the museum, the staff can let you through a service gate directly onto the airport grounds, which is helpful if you need to catch the train to Milan. If needed, I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

We have now had over-night stays in both the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotels at Malpensa Airport in Milan and the Crowne is by far the better of the two in virtually all respects; reception, rooms and restaurant. The two hotels share a shuttle service from the airport which is both frequent and convenient. The restaurant is well appointed and comfortable with an excellent buffet breakfast, including a full range of hot and cold selections, with the former amazingly hot. The room was relatively spacious, although the bathroom whilst functional was a bit cramped. Comfortable bed, hot water, thick towels, what more could you want. RECOMMENDED.

The staff were very pleasant. The restaurant food was very good. Also, the staff are empowered to act. As an example, we had an issue with the air conditioning. The staff attempted to address it from the front desk. That didn’t work, so we called back and told the front desk the air conditioning was still not working. They sent a technician to our room to assess the problem. The tech determined the aircon was broken. We were offered another room down the hallway. The staff were empowered to make sure our problem was assessed and fixed to our liking.

Only stayed there one night. Good hotel and close to the airport. Ate dinner at the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Servers were very busy but did manage all the tables in a timely manner.
